My recent visit to Choco-Story, located near the ancient ruins of Uxmal, is an underwhelming experience.
There’s a cool hacinda:

The activities lacked the depth and engagement I hoped for, especially given the rich history of chocolate in this region.

There’s a cocoa ritual, featuring sounds mimicking crickets. I’m not really sure what is happening unfortunately.

The presence of a jaguar added a sense of adventure to the visit. I like that.

In hindsight, dedicating more time to the magnificent ruins of Uxmal or exploring other local attractions might have been more fulfilling. While Choco Story holds potential as a thematic museum, it may not be a must-visit for everyone traveling to the Yucatán.
