Shanghai, a city where tradition meets modernity, offers an array of experiences that can make any day memorable. Here’s a glimpse of a day spent exploring some of its most iconic spots.
My day began at Reel Mall, where I stumbled upon Meet Fresh which is also in San Francisco Bay Area. Known for its traditional Taiwanese desserts and a wide variety of boba teas.

Next, I ventured to Taikang Road, a charming and picturesque street in the heart of the city. This area, known for its quaint boutiques, art galleries, and cafes, exudes a unique blend of historical and contemporary vibes. Walking through Taikang Road feels like stepping into a lively, artistic world, making it a perfect spot for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

As evening fell, I headed to The Bund, Shanghai’s iconic waterfront area. The Bund at night is a spectacle of lights and architecture, with the city’s skyline sparkling against the dark sky. The historical buildings lining the Huangpu River, juxtaposed with the modern skyscrapers, create a stunning visual contrast that is quintessentially Shanghai.

The view from The Bund towards Lujiazui is nothing short of breathtaking. The futuristic skyline, dominated by towering skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, offers a glimpse into China’s rapid urban development.

To end the day, I visited Hey Tea, our favorite boba tea spot in Shanghai. The fusion of classic and contemporary in their drinks mirrors the essence of Shanghai itself – a city that respects its past while boldly embracing the future.

That concludes our day at Shanghai!
