Take a look at Computex 2006 in Taipei, Taiwan. It’s much more interesting then our PC Show 2006 in Singapore, er, Singapore (yes, Singapore is tiny). Computex is a technology exhibition

(ATI and nVidia cheerleaders at Computex 2006.)
Take a look at the ATI and nVidia cheerleaders. I’ve got a feeling nVidia might have better sales with their more cheerful cheerleaders. ATI had cheerleaders from the circus. They look terrible! I don’t want to get close to them, I have coulrophobia (afraid of clowns).
I was at the PC Show 2006 two days ago to make a purchase for a widescreen LCD monitor. There were so many people there! When I reach there I was wondering if the PC Show 2006 was giving out some sort of free gift there.
It’s hard to move around that Sunday and it turns out that the easiest way to move from one side of the hall to the other is to exit through the nearest door and come back in again through the other doors.
My friends bought a Canon printer and some storage media. I too bought storage media. And my brother bought one of those MP3 players. It’s a Creative Neeon. It’s hard to use, perhaps I am just not used to it.
I keep wanting to buy those MP3 players but they are just at the wrong price all the time. I’m still waiting. It’ll just keep dropping. And the battery life would keep increasing hopefully.
The printers are rather affordable there. Storage media was selling at a bargain price too. LCD monitors are competively priced, probably with the exception of LG’s LCDs.
I’m getting a 19 inch widescreen LCD screen. I probably get the Dell one. I have been hunting around for an LCD screen for quite some time. I love to own one of those widescreens as it is more productive in my opinion.
I use software such as Visual Studio, Photoshop and Illustrator and they have lots of tiny windows at the side. So I thought it may be good that I get one of those widescreen monitors so that I can work better.
It costs about SG$399 to SG$499 at the PC Show 2006 in Singapore. The price is alright. Not too bad. The 20 inch ones are pretty but a little off budget going at SG$699 for most.
