I wrote this post due to popular demand of the previous post regarding and Saaya Irie and Mizuki Yoshii, the child models in Japan.

My site statistics have placed Mizuki Yoshii as the 8th most searched keyphrase here (55 people searched for it through Google, Yahoo! and Live), through a 6 month period which is shocking because I just blogged about her a week ago! [Most searched is 'japanese lyrics', followed by 'breast' and then 'create winks'.]

With help from Andre, I found the pictures of Mizuki Yoshii. And oh yeah, the reported made a mistake, her name is Mizuki Furui (古井みずき). The reporter mixed up the pronounciation of �??�?��?�?? which can be read either ‘Furui’ or ‘Yoshii’.

Mizuki Furui is born on May 15, 1996, in the Kanagawa Prefecture (神奈川). That means she’ll be 10 just a couple of days later. She is 130 cm tall and is blood-typed ‘A’. Her favorite sport is swimming. She has talent in drawing stuff on paper. Her hobby is �??�?��?��?� (pronounced as ‘purikura’ I think), but I don’t really know what that is. I kinda suspect that is some photo sticker thingy that you can get from those machines. [I felt like I enter one of those time capsule devices each time I step into those.] Can anyone confirm that with me?

Japan’s taste seem a little too extreme for me. Sure Miss Furui looks adorable in those pictures, but like Daniel Beattie commented, she’s rather normal looking. I don’t see anything very special about her.

I know you guys may not like it when I post such pictures. I find no problems with them. It is strange to me that people enjoy looking at girls so young. I am not here to decide what is morally right. I believe many are like me, just curious to see who this Mizuki Yoshii or Mizuki Furui is. So there, don’t scream at me okay?

Japan’s newest batch of idols on the wrong side of 10

Japan’s market for pubescent pin-up queens has already proved to be lucrative, with thousands of perverted consumers forking out their hard-earned yen for a DVD filled with images of a scantily-clad 11-year-old called Saaya, who is billed as a “kyonyu,” or “buxom” idol.

Saaya has also joined forces with California-born 12-year-old Jessica and another 12-year-old called Shizuka Umemoto to form a group called Sweet Kiss, which has Japan’s nerdish otaku drooling lecherously at the various signings and “handshake events” they attend, the men’s weekly says.

Now, however, Japan is stooping even lower with the emergence of 9-year-old Mizuki Yoshii (read more), who has become the face of Japan’s vile but burgeoning Under-10 idol business.

Born on May 15, 1996, Mizuki still hasn’t reached double figures. But her sales figures are already impressive. Her photo collection went on sale in March, with the initial print run set at 6,000 copies. It has already gone into a second printing and topped 10,000 copies, the standard for a best seller in Japan. What’s more, hits on her talent agency’s website have skyrocketed since the 9-year-old appeared on the scene.

“At the moment, Japan’s pin-up market is polarized, with Aki Hoshino, at 28, representing the oldest segment of the market and the Under-15s at the other end,” Masahiro Kitagawa, a self-professed “idol spotter,” tells Shukan Post. “The weakening of Japanese men means guys now place a lot of importance on imagining they have control over the opposite sex, which has sparked the emergence of the Under-15 market. The way they’ve got the girls changing costumes all the time is supposed to be a way to satisfy guys’ various fantasies. The polarization of the market is likely to continue, but I don’t think it will go any lower than the Under-10s.” (By Ryann Connell)

She does look cute, doesn’t she? She doesn’t even look 11. She’s 11 and Japanese men love her kawaii-ness (cuteness). Saaya Irie (入江紗綾, that would read ‘Irie Saaya’ in Japanese) is quoted to say this to the Chinese people, “Please stop these anti-Japanese hijinks. If you don’t, I won’t like you anymore.”

Japan Times claimed that Saaya Irie may improve bilateral relationships between the currently-strained China and Japan relationships. It is reported that her picture hass been posted in a Chinese forum with slogan reading, “An 11-year-old Japanese girl with large breasts has a proclamation for all Chinese people! Dear elder brothers, a beautiful young Japanese girl is beseeching you.”

To make the entire ordeal more sordid, the slogan continues that her breasts would “rise up” if the people “unite for the sake of China’s democracy.” (Read more of it at Nozomi Online.)

Like I said earlier, I don’t think Sweet Kiss came out with any music. I don’t know what’s Jessica’s last name too. It would be interesting if they start singing. They’ll probably join those gravure idols who gets converted to actresses and singers. At least that is a more credible talent than F-cup breasts.
