My whole place’s all stuffy. My brother resorted to sleeping downstairs (we had 2 levels) and I start sleeping with an open window. I have never slept in my room with an open windows before in this house. Another first time I guess. When I sleep I want it to be real quiet and with my window open I hear clearly the sounds of vehicles zooming around.
It just occurred because our air-con went down again. Well, it didn’t go down to be exact. My aircon sort of peed onto the ground at night when it’s too cold or something. It’s an annoyance. The aircon guys would come and start doing crazy things to the aircon to fix its bladder.
But, well, it never did work. I am pretty sure that my aircon just got this uncurable disease. The aircon people came and went, came back and went back, and each time they made a fuss out of things. My father got really angry and my mother got impatient. I got the blame for choosing the aircon when we bought the house.
Each time they come to our house, they would clear the pipes and try to upkeep it here and there and we can’t switch on the aircon fo 4 days. It starts to frustrate me already.

Here’s my table, it represents what I do everyday. Hmmmp… Let’s see… I’ll start top left to bottom right:
On my shelf:
- The folder holds mainly bills and forms and receipts I can’t simply throw away
- The black rounded thing is actually a CD holder, my friends think it looks alien
- Ahh, I have some origami on the shelf too. They take quite a long time to construct but it’s fun.
- And tissue paper.
On my computer:
- Photoshop
- Windows Live Messenger orange bar blinking
- A lot of note on the right side demanding my attention
- It’s a BenQ monitor
On my table:
- Clealy neglected pencil holder filled with pens with no more ink
- A bunch of wires. They’re all wires of chargers and USB ports
- A terrible Sony Ericsson phone. The updownleftright buttons work as and when they like
- Medicine. I have chloramine there on the table
- A DBS bank device. It looks funky after being decorated with stickers
- Microsoft keyboard and mouse and wireless device. It’s a little moody too. Sometimes it just malfunctions. Everytime when I decide to ring Microsoft, It’ll just work miraculously.
- Many papers. They’re for work basically
- Fugly Razer mouse pad. It’s free so I ain’t complaining
- Printer from HP. It acts as an additional shelf too
My table get messy and gets neat every now and then. When my table is messy, it actually means I am doing some work. If it’s neat and tidy, well… It’s not a good sign. It means that I have nothing to do and decided - on a really rare occassion - to clean up the mess. May my table stay messy till August.
Back home again. I’ve stayed in the army camp since Wednesday, next week. It’s one of the longer times I’ve stayed in camp. I feel kinda bored there sometimes but never too bad. I rushed back home to do a post before I’m out again.
Most of my items are intact, things are just as messy, the wires are still unkept, papers all around. I guess that’s the way I like it. I have quite a lot of work at home still. What made me really happy is a cheque from the nice people at Google for advertisement. (Sorry, I don’t wish to disclose the sum.)
And I borrowed some really cool books for someone, it’s some philosophy type of book but it’s interesting and it keeps my brain working and thinking. Now I have a lot of books unread, about 1 fiction book and 8 non-fiction books. I’ll start with the ones I borrowed.
Oh yes, the hamsters! I left it at my friend’s and I’ll be bring it home. I hope the hamsters’ teeth won’t be as sharp too.
[I am having some problems typing the alphabet 'd'. Sometimes the alphabet comes out, sometimes it just doesn't!]
I’ve been staying home these couple of days but I felt I have accomplished little. It’s just times like this when I think time would be better off spent at my camp.
After lazing around for a couple of days and watching anime and eating mash potato and watching my wall clock, it’s Friday. Time just flies when I’m at home and I can’t say the same when I’m at work.
Some good things happen at home though, my neighbor’s construction is completed I think. They decided not to disturbed me for this week. And my aircon - well, it’s back and working fine again which made me really happy.

What I wasn’t too pleased about is this aircon guy who says that we have to tune the temperature of the aircon to 23°C to 25°C. My aircon has a range of 18°C to 30°C I think, okay I’m too lazy to check out the upper boundary. Point is - what gives them the right to decide what temperate I use!
It really doesn’t make sense. At my old house, we had the aircon guys coming and they told us to restrict our fingers to temperature 22°C to 25°C. Well, if the aircons are so troublesome and need such a specific range then why don’t the engineers just allow me to set temperatures 23°C to 25°C only. That why no one would go wrong and everybody’s happy.
And the buggy aircon remote control that defaults my aircon to 21°C when I turn it on helps little.
I opened my room door and was immediately greeted with a really tall ladder, a shorter one and an even shorter one.

It almost seemed like the Goldilocks bears recasting themselves as ladders. It’s not too funny when I see the whole place in quite a bit of mess. The aircon people came to fix our leakage problems. And they brought those construction foam thingy, it’s green and alien like. It’s like those party sprays and look so fun until they did that to our walls.

I took these photographs in another bedroom. The aliens have invaded. It’s soft and spongy, it must be their saliva. My room is spared from these aliens thankfully.
My table, quite messy once again.

There is an elephant there. It powers my blog.
The circular container next to the box of tissue paper is a CD box. My keyboard and mouse has been changed recently and it’s black now.
I made a trip to Courts yesterday to look at some furniture. They are pretty expensive actually. I was kinda looking for a table with either darker wood color or with a glass top. I didn’t find that in Courts. I seen it in Ikea but I am just going around looking for more choices.
My room has two tables right now. One is a computer table and the other is just a study table that I would have to admit I find no use for. It started when my mother start putting my washed clothes on my table. It becomes some sort of a clothing deposit ground or something. I start putting my bills on that study table too. I pretty much can’t find my bills after I left it there. It’s pretty much full of rubbish.
I was just thinking - why do I need a separate study table when I can have a big table to put the computer. My LCD screen doesn’t take up as much space too. I am thinking of getting new speakers and I’m probably going for a micro-hifi set or something if I do change. I’m a procrastinator - I acquire this very slowly. I have been talking about getting a new PC since I enter army. I think by the time I get a new computer, I probably left army already.
I’m going to try V Hive later, hope to find a table that I like. And if you do intend to go to Courts at Bukit Timah to buy a work table kinda thing - don’t. Their collection is almost pathetic and I even consider getting a dining table for my work table even! Unfortunately they come with 6 chairs.
