You can’t tell the truth all the time. I knew Santa didn’t exist when I was a kid. Santa is an American I thought and we don’t have much of them in Asia that time. Santa must’ve been eating all day just for Christmas.
Primary school teacher who told children: ‘Santa does not exist’ is fired
A primary school teacher who left a class of 25 pupils in tears after she told told them Santa Claus did not exist has been fired…
When excited youngsters became rowdy as they talked about Santa, the supply teacher blurted out: ‘It’s your parents who leave out presents on Christmas Day.’
The class of seven-year-olds at Blackshaw Lane Primary School, Royton, near Oldham, Greater Manchester burst into tears and told their parents when they arrived home.
One father said: ‘My son came home and said that his substitute teacher had told the class that Santa doesn’t exist and it’s your mum and dad that put out presents for them.
‘My lad was in tears and so was everyone else in the class – especially as it was so close to Christmas.
‘I thought it was wrong. He was distraught about it. He’s only seven-years-old and it’s part of the magic of Christmas to him.
‘We told him that she did not believe in Father Christmas because of her religion and he’s fine now.’
The father described the incident as ‘shocking’ and believed it was done with malicious intent.
‘A lot of parents were disgusted and complained to the school.’
The school has now said it will not hire her again. (Source: Dailymail)

Well, if you perform out of the requirements of your job and benefit the community in China, you might just get a nice promotion.
China cop promoted for breastfeeding quake babies
BEIJING (Reuters) – A Chinese policewoman who breastfed babies orphaned during last month’s earthquake has been given a better job, prompting online protests that promotions should be awarded on merit, not merely for good deeds.
Jiang Xiaojuan, 30, left her own baby with her parents and took part in the disaster relief work, breastfeeding nine babies, earning her the nickname of “the police mum” in the press.
She has since been awarded titles of “hero and model police officer” and “excellent member of the Communist Party”, was appointed to the Communist Party of China Committee of the Jiangyou Public Security Bureau and became the bureau’s vice commissar, Xinhua news agency said on Saturday. While it does seemed strange, I kinda think she deserves it.

(My teacher says little girls can grow up to be anything they choose! Why did you choose to be an old lady?)

Well, this is something interesting:
An Australian girl spontaneously changed blood groups and adopted her donor’s immune system after a liver transplant, in what doctors treating her said Thursday was the first known case of its type.
Australian girl switched blood type after transplant: doctors
Demi-Lee Brennan was aged nine and seriously ill with liver failure when she received the transplant, doctors at a top Sydney children’s hospital told AFP.
Nine months later they discovered she had changed blood types and that her immune system had switched over to that of the donor after stem cells from the new liver migrated to her bone marrow.
She is now a healthy 15-year-old, Michael Stormon, a hepatologist treating her, told AFP. He said he had given several presentations on the case around the world and had heard of none like it.
“It is extremely unusual — in fact we don’t know of any other instance in which this happened,” Stormon told AFP from the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
