I’m likely to go learn driving since I have a Basic Theory and I sort of just stop there.

I’m looking for private driving instructors, preferably at Bukit Batok or Jurong East area. Any recommendations?

I felt tremors in Bukit Batok!

I was sitting comfortably on my chair when it started to vibrate a little. It thought the Gundam robots are here. My elephant behaved differently too, it used to be balanced on my round CD compartment, it sort of fell onto the ground. I heard that there is an earthquake in Sumatra or something. The tremors stopped already of course.

Tremors felt around Singapore, some buildings evacuated

Singapore’s Meteorological Services Division says an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck Padang, Indonesia at about 11.50am Tuesday.

The epicentre was 50 kilometres north-northeast of Padang, on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia and some 430 kilometres south-west of Singapore.

Tremors were also felt in many parts of Singapore.

Callers to the MediaCorp News Hotline said they felt tremors in areas such as Beach Road, Jalan Besar, Robinson Road and Toa Payoh.

Some buildings, like the Concourse at Beach Road, Capital Square and Centennial Tower in the city, and even Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Clementi, were evacuated.

Witnesses said several tall buildings in the central business district swayed slightly.

Okay, they can add that it was felt in Bukit Batok too. I felt it when sitting on the office chair, I happen to be sitting crosslegged watching an anime. Have you felt it too?

I just met a secondary school friend when having dinner. It feels really good to see old friends again. I saw her with her boyfriend. Both seemed friendly so we all talked for about 30 minutes while I’m feeding myself.

We talked about the times in our secondary school and also about some army stuff to her boyfriend. I realized that each guy I meet when I am wearing my green uniform would automatically drift into army talk. That is fine though, it’s quite interesting to know what the others are doing in another camp. It’s kinda a deja vu feeling since the last time I met Jaslyn and her boyfriend, her boyfriend and I had this army talk going too.

I realized that many people actually remembered me. People enquired about my wellbeing more than I thought. That really made me feel happy and blessed. Often I have the impression that my friends don’t remember me anyway. But perhaps all these impressions are a little er… overthought? [Okay, I think I just invented a word.]

Anyway they invited me to a birthday gathering. It’s really nice of them and I accepted it immediately. Then I thought for a while. Coming saturday, Jun Hong’s birthday. Next saturday, her birthday. I really need to shop for presents already.

I woke up at 11 today. I am supposed to meet Pei Shan at Bukit Batok MRT Station at 30 minutes before 11.

You see, the previous day, I brought her notebook back home to set up a web server in her computer and install the .NET framework to run ASP.NET web forms. Then, I went on to install Microsoft SQL desktop engine. Confusing? Well, beconfused.

They’re all needed for a module called Web Application. I wouldn’t have known these terms if not for this module. All these strange terms just kept appearing and they are never ending.

This is the first time I actually handled a notebook. Pei Shan wants her computer to be reformatted too. So it’s just basically setting up the things she needs for her.

Let me tell you something, I never reformatted a computer before, much less a notebook. I spend 30 minutes reformatting it and 5 minutes praying hard that the notebook won’t burst into flames while being reformatted.

Every thing worked well, it was late at night yesterday already. My eye lids were closing. I went off to bed subsequently. And this morning, my brother came into my room telling me that his friends are going to come into my room later to use the computer. [The computer is in my room.]

Usually, I wouldn’t have mind that. But these days my room has been really messy. I am not in the mood to clean it up too. I mean how to I get the mood when my room is so messy! What irony.

I rejected my brother’s plea and went back to sleep. The next thing I know, a couple of phone calls and some messages awaits me. It’s 11.

Opps. As a compensation, I installed more things in her computer.
