I, and not Emperor Shah Jahan, built the Taj Mahal. This Taj Mahal.

Look at the Taj Mahal I built.

Okay, I admit Shah Jahan made a better one, but mine is quite close, isn’t it.

This building kinda reminds me of Godzilla. I took this image somewhere around Singapore Polytechnic’s premises. I can’t really remember the exact location, it’s probably at the Foodcourt 5 area.

SingTel building

_(This is one of the many Singapore Telecommunications buildings in our island - just that this one looks weird.)_

This building is SingTel’s. I don’t know why it is designed as such. I recall having a discussion with Shawn that I am going to make a Macromedia Flash animation out of this ‘creature’ when I am free. I’ll put the soundtracks and this creature will start terrorizing Singapore. The idea was there, the resources and time is just not there. Plus, I am too lazy to start on it even.

I plan to animate the hands a little and let it stomp around a map of Singapore while play Shiina Ringo’s music as the background.

I’m just too busy nowadays, but when I look at this picture now, it sure brought me memories, hahaa..

Biopolis Matrix Building, the building that I work at for my internship.

(Biopolis Matrix Building, the building that I work at for my internship.)

This morning when I walk towards my work place, I decided to snap a picture of how my building look like. In my opinion, it is the nicest looking building in Biopolis, lol

I work for Bioinformatics Institute as my internship which is part of my polytechnic (Singapore Polytechnic) requirement. Bioinformatics Institute is located in the Matrix building and when I first got there I can’t find where Bioinformatics Institute is. It turns out that it is in Matrix itself and it is not clearly labeled that Bioinformatics Institute is in Matrix.

Pecilius and Shawn are working at the building in the background, the brown one. They work in Genome Institute of Singapore and their building is cleverly labeled ‘Genome’. Well, at least theirs made more sense.

I’ve just been told what I am supposed to do. I’m working for a research company and it seems that I have much to learn about. I don’t remember much of my metabolic pathways and stuff. I need to refresh my memory on these stuff.

There are quite a number of interns here. And the one sitting right next [which incidentally sit on the right too] is looking through hard disks prices. I am no better. I’m blogging.

I like working in Biopolis:
# It’s got good transportation services that cater to commuters who takes the MRT to Bouna Vista MRT Station and during lunch time - to Holland Village.
# The place is alive. People are all around and that makes me feel excited to start my day. Unfortunately, so are the millipedes, they’re all around and I’m not half as excited to step onto them.
# Nice landscaping. It’s not the best one around, but it keeps me in the mood to go to work. I do have to admit that a couple of plants popping out in the _(nearly)_ all-metallic Biopolis is kinda strange though.
# Good food is near. Whether it’s Makansutra’s Soulfree or Holland Village, basically I’m spoilt by choices. A staff told me that Soulfree isn’t fanstatic though.

So far, I like the place, I’ll blog about what’s in the building next time.

sheltered//ways

Uncategorized

It’s really noisy outside again. Oh, I should have gotten used to these sounds after all my neighbor’s hobby is to drill holes and drill more holes on walls. Nowadays, I have this impression that he is drilling the wall till they have patterns all around like those of the sound-proof walls.

And today, the noise pollution didn’t come from my neighbor. It’s far louder and much more annoying. And no, it’s not my alarm clock [annoyingly//effective] this time. It’s the renovations that are ongoing in my estate.

You see, those Bangladeshi workers are trying to construct sheltered walk ways for us residents. Yeah, that’s very kind of them. Nice work, I see the shape of these sheltered walk ways coming up nicely too. They’re also giving our estate a new look, that is, new coat of paint.

Frankly speaking, I am quite excited about that. I got really bored of my flat’s boring white-orange-green combination. And they’re modifying my flat’s lifts to make them stop on every floor. I do have to say it’s quite useless to me since I live on the third floor and much prefer climbing up the lift than the chance of getting trapped there for an hour and a half.

I just don’t like the noise part, and I’m sure no one likes it too.

On a side note, I’m thinking of hosting other people’s blogs. What do you think of the idea? WordPress is the blogging tool I am using, it’s really good in my opinion. I don’t mind hosting singapore blogs too.
