An ad campaign for LOUIS VUITTON by Mamoru Hosoda (of Digimon fame). an updated alice in wonderland, in which a girl, searching for her lost cell phone, floats in a dizzying world of the company’s logos. While waiting to meet her friends outside of a Louis Vuitton store, Aya’s cell phone is eaten by the LV Panda, who then promptly swallows Aya - but the inside of his stomach is gateway to a psychadelic wonderland. Based on characters created by famed superflat artist Takashi Murakami.

Creative finally learnt some branding lesson. Their branding is almost terrible. They have products like:
ZEN Vision W
ZEN Vision
ZEN Vision:M
ZEN V Plus
ZEN V
ZEN Stone Plus
ZEN Stone
ZEN Wav
ZEN Neeon 2
ZEN Neeon 512MB/ 1GB/ 2GB
ZEN Neeon 5GB/ 6GB
ZEN MicroPhoto
ZEN Nano Plus
Looking at all these names make me giddy, I don’t feel zen at all.
“Dad I want a Zen.”
“Oh, is it the Vision W or the Vision or the Vision: M?”
Perhaps this branding confusion is due to Creative being unsure what sort of what products consumers really want. They throw out like 10 designs and just bet that one of them should be favorable among the consumers. Creative ZEN Whatever should be just Creative ZEN. (more…)
I was walking with my friends at Suntec City just saw the pirate version of Nigo’s A Bathing Ape (?????????????) brand. They call themselves Jungle Ape (JAPE).
Not long ago - see I admit that this isn’t exactly new news - this guy decided to get a Microsoft Zune logo which is probably the most uncool thing to stick on your arm. What makes Zune? Poor sales, boring color and an egoistic welcome-to-the-social campaign. But the man decided to get a Zune tattoo on his left arm. He was then ridiculed by just about everyone and he believed in himself (and the Zune of course) to go ahead to get yet-another Zune tatto. Microsoft must’ve been so damn proud of him.
Actually, they are. Microsoft is flying their number-one fan to Redmond giving him some star-treatment. He’ll also be doing an interview with Microsoft’s Channel 10 and meet officially be joining the Social by meeting the guys behind the Social. Now now, what should I get as a tattoo for my birthday?
I was talking to a couple of friends about this commercial and they all love it, ’cause the panda’s just to adorable to ignore. It’s a commercial for the Creative Zen Vision:M. What’s up with the naming? Creative products have rather strange naming; if that supposed to cool then their naming department ought to be fired. No one freaking puts a colon in a product name, Mr. Sim, name me a successful product that puts colons.
Panda’s Rhapsody
This commercial is shown in Singapore and Malaysia. Not too sure about other countries. But it does look funky and has this unique Japanese-infused Kawaii-ness that made me want to buy the panda - I mean well - player.
