Ever wondered how did George Lucas come up with the name for R2-D2?
Rumor has it that George Lucas and a co-worker were editing American Graffiti, when a co-worker asked Lucas for “Reel Two, Dialog Twoâ€Â, which is abbreviated “R2D2â€Â. Lucas supposedly wrote down the abbreviation and used it as the name of the now famous droid in Star Wars.

I think it still is a perfect name for R2. So attention grabbing… I got myself one of these robots a couple of weeks ago. It’s the best item in my Star Wars collection. My cat loves it lol.
