Japanese Katana versus handgun: can a sword really deflect a bullet?

Uncategorized

I’m sorry, this is just so useless but it’s just too funny. Someone demonstrates a 9mm going against a Japanese katana.

It manages to cut through the bullet! Which is cool, but what I love about this video is that the Japanese made it so ‘epic’. The music, the roaring, the slow motion setting, it’s almost like Lord of the Rings minus the Lord and the Ring. When the bullet got deflected, the owner of the katana was in awe, he’s so proud of his katana. Really dramatic. Love the Japanese.

  1. I think it’s sorta like the katana in the movie is like the pride of japan versus the american (they even had a white guy fire the gun). they had the old dude in kimono and everything, they just needed more pictures of Hirohito and they’d be set.
It’s like WW2 all over again, but this time … it was… faster and had instant replays

I don’t know what I’m saying anymore - the overly dramaticness and the 50 replays was pretty jokes :)
