One of the websites (not //beconfused) I managed got hacked. My host pointed out an exploit in WordPress and said that intruders have planted a spam email sender. The WordPress installed is 2.2 and yeah I didn’t update when 2.2.1 was out. But the exploit is not among those that are fixed which is puzzling. Perhaps it’s really a new exploit, I’m still waiting for the web host to give me more details. Honestly… I am a little confused, I don’t know how to handle these stuff.
And my blog is going to max out the bandwidth again it seems. I am already using a business plan and it seems to be insufficient. My bandwidth is 40 GB per month and I am hitting the limit. I just upgraded 3 months back actually, it used to be 20 GB per month. I didn’t explain it to outgrow that quickly! I thought I would probably grow to using more than 30 GB per month probably the start of next year at the earliest. (Yes, I kinda got it charted out.)
One of the reasons why this blog is so bandwidth-demanding is that I allowed people to hotlink from me. That means someone using Blogger or whatever can link up my images and it will appear in their blogs. One of my annoyances about blogging is image poster is just not reliable enough if without some webspace. I hijack other people images sometimes. Now people are hijacking my images which made me feel less guilty, hahaa… I thought I can support but I probably can’t next month already.
From next month, I’ll have to stop people from hotlinking images submitted in 2003, 2004 and 2005 until I move to a new host.
And yes I am looking for a new host. I would like to have a least 300 GB transfer per month and at least 10 GB of space and allows me to host multiple domain names in one account. So… Any recommendations?

Hi, I’m using DreamHost at this moment and here’s what I know via their hosting plans, all the plans allow you to have unlimited domain names, unlimited sub domains, unlimited MySQL databases, at least 1.456TB of bandwidth (increases weekly), 145GB of disk space (increases weekly) and much more can be found at their site.
You can use this promo code for discount of $97 - ESC97
I believe this suits your needs.
