Some people, after years of flag hanging still hang their flags wrongly. Check and see if your flag is hung correctly as illustrated:
From inside your house, lift your flag up slowly so that you’ll find yourself holding to the white ends of the flag as shown below. Is the crescent on your right?
If it isn’t, you might just be one of the people hanging their flags front-side back two blocks away from me. Please, please hang it right. 
It’s great to know that Singapore’s national day is coming and more and more people are putting up their flags, but never hang your flag when you’re half-awake.
