This week, I’m stuck in camp till coming Wednesday. I couldn’t leave the camp, just stay in and watch the officers patroling with food from the mess. The week is unexciting but life goes on there.
Things are stablizing, thanks to better human resource planning and people management skills. What is rather unfortunate is my lack of offs and leaves which meant I had to stay in camp for quite a bit of time while my friends who enlist on the same day as me are clearing their offs now.
There are several why-have-I-not-thought-about-it moments. The guys brought in badminton and it’s really fun, with great time wasting ability and a tiny opportunity to work my lazy body. I realized it’s great to use the internet late at night - it’s peaceful and I can type all I want. And finally, I also learn Japanese a little through the internet with my friends, it’s good fun and we go around saying ’shigoto ga tsumaranai’ nowadays. (That means ‘work is boring’ we think.)
Unfortunately, I left my phone charger at home and I can only communicate through email most of the time. So if you tried to text me and I failed to reply, try sending to my email. You can also use the contact me page hidden in the labyrinths of the About section. I’m sure it’s just somewhere.
Just a simple update of how I’m doing. Things are certainly going better. My days in national service is coming to an end.
