It’s 6 in the morning now. The skies are still dark but I’m going to camp again. I had a leave yesterday and today I had to go back to camp. I’ll return home at 8 in the morning tomorrow.
I think life’s gotten a little less fair there. The workload has increased, the rewards generally stayed the same. I felt we would be appreciative for a little bit more reward in what we do. These days we don’t have any nights out due to our duty. We can’t have them. Some people stayed in camp 7 days straight feeding on cookhouse food. Not too great.
There’re a lot of changes now, most of us are just watching the changes settle a little more or less. I doubt anyone knows what they’re doing – perhaps a couple of guys – I’m just there waiting for time to pass. Hundred and three days.
