Mother: The guys just don’t go university

Uncategorized

I just received news that my cousin got 13 points for L1R5 which is pretty good in my opinion. I don’t understand why people are saying it’s only moderate. Is it really that moderate? I got 15 points for L1R5 (the higher the points, the lousier you are) and I still think I’m generally smarter then half the population of Singaporeans my age.

So I think my cousin did a rather good job to get 13 points. My mother then added that in my family no guys are successful, only the girls. I am quite upset about that comment actually. I got a little happier when she pointed out all the girls went to universities and all the guys didn’t.

If university is indeed the measurement of how successful a person is, I’ll make sure I just get a bigger house than any of my relatives. How about a bigger car. Oh, swimming pool too. Okay okay, that’s just a dream. Back to my planning board.

I don’t think my cousin read my blog these days, but if she does: Congrats! 13 points is pretty good, have some icecream - peanut butter and chocolate.

  1. Hey ****** korkor! (i’m not sure if your name should be mentioned and so i used the asterisks* sign). Thanks for the appraisal! I’m deeply flattered. Haha but i think TingTing did much better. My mum keeps telling me how well she does all the time. I totally agree with you about the issue of comparison. And about the icecream thing, you can treat me to the peanut butter icecream! :D

Anyway, I am a loyal fan of your blog! Haha it’s real interesting. I read your blog entries everytime you post up new ones. I just don’t comment much. Heehee. See you during CNY! (:
