Windows Vista box design looks awesome

Uncategorized

Wow, these boxing actually looks good. I wouldn’t guess it’s from Microsoft. It makes a purchase of the operating system a lot more worth it.

The new Windows Vista and Office 2007 box packaging.

You can have the most kick-ass product but with a bad packaging, it’s just spoils the experience. Microsoft is learning about packaging. I love the one for Windows Vista Ultimate edition. Really cool packaging with an unfortunately somewhat boring name. [via Windows Vista Team blog]

  2. I think the office home and student one is ugly…

I want the black one too. =)

What is Ultimate? The equivalent of “Professional” in the XP series?

On the contrary, you can have a kick-ass packaging but with a bad product … which in turn spoils the experience two-fold. Man you’re one ardent NBMer. ;-)

  4. Yeah, I’ll get the box of the Ultimate but really, I don’t think I have the need for that. I probably go for Home Premium. Professional is equivalent to Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Business Premium. Ultimate is just having more features. It has ever thing of Home and Business and more security stuff I think.

I wouldn’t really go for that unless I’m really feeling rich for that moment.

Event Horizon: Honestly, I don’t think Windows Vista is a bad product but it is not there yet. I love to see more innovation in it. I think Windows Vista still has a lot of improvements over Windows XP which is really what makes me happy. I support the software that I use. And I use a lot of Microsoft products and I use them because they suit my needs and I get excited if they change their software for the better.

Notice I never mentioned much about Firefox, I just don’t use it much enough to get excited over a 2.0 release.

  5. Mr Dew: Not really, also the amount of computers you are allowed to have in a network and a lot of other things are strictly limited. It’s not the business but the Vista Ultimate that isn’t cut down (and it’s the most expensive by the way!). Me as an IT expert, I have no choice really than going for Ultimate. 6. Yeah, I know there is some restrictions to numbers of users in a network. I never had problems with that since I am not a corporate customer.
