QB stands for Quick Beauty I think. It’s one of those 10-minute haircut ideas from Japan, it kinda spreaded to Singapore. It trims my hair for 10 minutes and I pay 10 bucks. It’s quite affordable and fast if you’re busy like me. [Everytime I had to rush to camp because I suck at keeping track of time.]

And everytime after the 10 minute cut, they’ll give me a souvenir. Is that supposed to represent their sense of humor or something? Because I don’t quite get it actually. It seemingly imply that their 10 minute haircut may hurt me somehow so they’re giving me band aids to stop the blood or something.
(QB House gives me band aids.)
Also similar to QB House is EC House which means Express Cut if I’m not wrong. I heard that QB House Singapore is some sort of franchise store, there really is QB House is Tokyo. And the person who owns the franchise changed the name to Express Cut and that pissed the Japanese counterparts. Well, the problem was never really resolved. Both just became rivals offering similar services. QB House is probably the original one with the 10-minute cut for 10 bucks idea, but they might not have service-marked it. Today, both companies are still in Singapore but there are more EC House than QB House. They both cut hair quite well so you can give either of them a try.
I like their concept as it’s very clean, no-nonsense service. They cut and trim, then vacuum your hair. Both keep their stores neat and tiny by sweeping it regular. For hygiene purposes, new combs are used for every customer and you get that comb as a souvenir at the end of the 10-minute cut.

Well, I used to go there, until one of them screwed up my hair. (Hairdressers love to screw up my hair, btw) So I ended up at other hair salons.

Well… I don’t really have bad experiences, I guess you can’t really go wrong with guy’s hair, hahaa…
