Well, the world cup has finally come to an end _(almost)_. With scores of 1:0 for France vs. Portugal. The next match would be of France vs. Italy at July 10, 2 AM in the morning according to Singapore Time (SGT).
MOst people are crazy over them. Not me though. I don’t really have much idea who’s in or who’s out. The only television shows that my friends watch these days are World Cup related.
Those people who betted on football aren’t really prepared for the surprises. Few would expect Brazil to be out, some of my friends lost money there. And the match where Germany played with France. Most betted for Germany to enter the finals. It’s disappoint for their pockets I guess.
After the world cup ends, perhaps people would take notice of Singapore Idol 2 again, which is seem so nong nong ago.

It seems like no one’s watching the other television shows. I’m still watching Desperate Housewives, Project Runway and Gray’s Anatomy. My friends are watching the Italy match, the German match and the English match. No one seems to be interested on the other things on television at the moment I guess.

i don’t watch project runway or gray’s anatomy though.
my friends have been calling me a couch potato lol. it seems like watching tv has been my only activity since the holidays started.
by Milky (Jul 9, 2006 at 8 PM)My friend says watching football is different. He claims the people watching football and passionate about the sport so that can’t be considered couch potato. But I was still there thinking, “well, anyone who sits in front of the telly for more than 2 hours is a couch potato.” He then excused himself by adding, “we walk around to get beers.”
“Oh, I see…”
by Mr. Dew (Jul 9, 2006 at 11 PM)lol… i think the getting beers part makes them even more of a couch potato.
oh i have been watching a ton of other stuff, mostly idol dramas and the like. i woke up, watched tv all the way, stopped for meals and bathing time, continued watching until sleeping time. that was kinda insane.
by Milky (Jul 13, 2006 at 2 AM)Milky: I think you watched television more than I do, lol… These days I’ve been playing Ragnarok Online so it’s less television for me. In fact I didn’t really watch television anyway. I’m more of a office chair potato or something. But then again, I seldom eat while using the computer.
I was thinking… Currently we are using keyboards to type. You know they always wants to make those devices that can just do what you think? That was it’s like a computer with no keyboards and mouse? Well.. If that really is the scenario some day in future, perhaps people on office chairs would actually start eating food while working.
Got to pray for them not to invent such thing.
by Mr. Dew (Jul 13, 2006 at 7 AM)That kind of device would need enormous concentration by the user, isn’t it?
by Milky (Jul 14, 2006 at 1 AM)Or else the computer would be really confused by our wandering thoughts. And won’t we need to stick some chips or whatever at the head to connect to the computer? I’d rather use the mouse n keyboard – fingers exercise!
Milky: I think fingers are probably now the strongest part of my body due to typing. And I get more and more particular about keyboards now. I am more willing to pay money now for keyboards. I like them big and well-spaced, hahaa…
