*7 reasons why it excite me*
# Windows Live Messenger is the first major global Windows Live product to release a final version.
# The new user interface is prettier and refreshing!
# You can now sign in faster with the new Live Messenger.
# Sign in assistant make Windows Live ID (previous Microsoft Passport .NET) sign ins prettier and easier.
# You can finally edit your friend’s nicknames. No more strange nicknames such as “w3 !ive 2 dr4eM … lIsA wHy dOnT U WaNt nO MOrE1!!
“. I hate nickname changes, it’s impossible to keep track of who’s who.
# Live Messenger has never been more responsive. It really is faster now!
# You can subscribe to your contact’s address updates through Windows Live Contacts. Really cool stuff.

woah..that looks so refreshing!!
by BlueToast (Jun 20, 2006 at 9 PM)gotta download it soon..haha..
some people too hate microsoft…in some website, they put live messenger as adware…
some put it 1 out of 5 star cause the file size is 15mb.
how sad, they should know that micrsoft is doing better. Live messenger is much better than last time now.
by cockroach (Jun 20, 2006 at 10 PM)BlueToast: I visited your web page a while ago and I reached an error message. I don’t your blog’s gone for a while! Good to see it’s up again.
I downloaded it immediately.
cockroach: Sadly it’s this way. Windows Live Messenger has text advertisements and a graphic ad. I won’t really consider that adware though, hahaa… I think it’s reasonable now. Many web applications have advertisements, even though Live Messenger is not a web application, I got kinda used to it. Plus the advertisements are not intrusive in my opinion. And the file size. It’s a sad case. With every new release, the file size increase. In fact it has increased till it is larger than Windows Media Player 11 beta. I can’t imagine what they put in to make it such a big download. I probably guess it’s the calling and videoing functions. I’d rate Windows Live Messenger 4 out of 5 stars. I really like it, but I wish they let me select the tabs I want.
by Mr. Dew (Jun 20, 2006 at 10 PM)wow, looks like a really good upgrade (minus the ads, but then the regular version has ads too i’m assuming). I’ll get some ppl to try it out
by pketh (Jun 20, 2006 at 11 PM)pketh: Yup, the regular version has ads too. I am fine with ads though. The ads in Windows Live Messenger is quite small too. Hotmail has the worst ads. It’s huge!
by Mr. Dew (Jun 21, 2006 at 1 AM)[...] The whole interface instantly reminds me of Windows Live Messenger, you can change the color of your application. And it has a huge advertisement too. Windows Live Mail Desktop checks your online Live Mail. You can add POP3 email even. It’s really Outlook Express in disguise – just nicer. [...]
