I don’t know if you have heard this from your science teacher. My then science teacher, Mrs. Yap I think, told us not to put alkaline metals into water as they are reactive to water and causes nasty explosions.
Being a secondary school kid, we all love watching how chemicals react, don’t we? I think I have seen how lithium would react with water, but here is how rubidium and cesium react in water.
