Translation

This is my first post in Chinese language, it feels strange to type in Chinese. My Chinese language isn’t good, so please pardon me.

While I was returning from camp yesterday, I met this friend of mine. He was holding this piece of rubbish from one trash bin to the next. He just simply refuses to dispose his piece of rubbish.

Me: Hey, why are you holding on to the rubbish since trash bin number 1?
Him: Because there is nothing in the trash bin and if I were to throw the rubbish now, it just troubles the cleaner to clear the trash bin.
Me: But if you don’t put it into the trash bin, someone else probably would, hahaa…
Him: That’s okay, so long as I do my part.

I was stunned for a while, then somewhat guilty. That sure shut me up. If everyone’s like him, perhaps the world would be a better place. But then again, if everyone’s like him, all the cleaners would probably go out of job!

[Note that I won't be posting in Chinese language much as I took 20 times longer to post in Mandarin as opposed to just typing it out in English. Plus my broken Chinese (æ?­æ??ç??中æ??�?) is kinda embarassing to showcase.]

    vivacity: I won’t forget China of course, I’ve been thinking about blogging in both languages since I started blogging actually. The idea never did materialized due to the problem I have with inputing Chinese characters. They are quite hard for me. ;)

    if everyone keeps the rubbish to themselves instead of recycling it/ returning to nature,
    won’t there b more “output”(i.e. using the raw materials to make useful pdts) den “input”(recycling the used pdt) in this world?

    m3iz: Actually the idea is not about keeping rubbish to themselves. It’s just to keep it till you see a rubbish bin that has some rubbish inside, hahaa… If everybody keeps their rubbish, then they probably won’t buy extra things and that’s good (for my father). :D
