I wanted to blog during office hours so many times but I kept refrain doing that. I don’t want people to discover my blog I guess.
I don’t think this blog will ever be revealed to any of my good pals I met during national service. I just don’t want them to know and I keep a distance between conversion topics of blogs, Google Adsense, WordPress and web administration.
This blog, which I have grown attached to, holds posts that may upset some of the friends that I know. I am afraid that once I let a person know, it just spreads around and soon my commanding officer would be looking at //beconfused.
The commanding officer conducts talks sessions to get to know us better. But no one dares to speak out. And the previous guy that did – well, he sorta cursed SAF in front of the commanding officer – is no longer in camp already, i.e. he was transfered out due to injury.
So we sat in front of the commanding officer and act as mere listeners. The “talk session” as he had called, became nothing more than him sharing controversial current affairs regarding the terrorism and our Islamic friends.
But he made clear that he wasn’t here to tell us about current affairs and he wishes to know how we are, what we’re feeling and how he can improve current situations.
It must have been the fear of punishment and peer pressure that shut us up. I kept quiet. I have things to speak about, but in front of a group of around 17, I kept real quiet.
We complain among ourselves, we are clearly upset. We didn’t solve the problem and we complain more. When the commanding officer came, he may just be able to resolve some issues. And he left an our later, listening to a bunch of stereotypical complaints that just can’t be fixed unless the army undergoes an overhaul in the hierarchy system.
And so I returned home one day and just start typing a blog post – this blog post. For whom? For me, someone who can’t solve the problem anyway. I am unhappy about the talks as I feel that it is ineffective. And I responded by posting some shit up; as if the commanding officer would be reading this. Of course… That is unless I…
