Army terminology of the week

  • Tekken – It just mean punishment offered by someone with a sadistic nature. Basically it’s a punishment that is given to show you who has the authority and can usually comes in forms of push-ups. Many push-ups. It has nothing to do with the Tekken 4 game in PS2.

There will be several times where a commander decides to tekken its subordinates. It actually happens. It may be because he is in a bad mood, or maybe just because he is going to ORD already and he wouldn’t have a chance to punish anyone easily anymore.

It used to be worse in the past. However, now you can speak to your commanders about it, some camps have orientation officers, you can call the Mindef (Ministry of Defence) hotline too.

So your superiors don’t really dare to make you do weird punishments now. But of course, there are some exceptions… Well… I heard a lot of stories about one particular company in BMTC (Basic Military Training Center) that makes recruits do some of the worst shit during field camps that I rather live in a third world country during that week.

  2. cockroach//è??è??: It’s okay, I can’t do it right also. I do those rather fucked-up ones, but who cares, they don’t care actually. Sometimes they see you doing really bad ones, they just give up and not tekken you anymore – too horrible to see.
