I’m been updating parts of my blog to better categorize my posts. I don’t have very good organizational skills apparently but I’m trying hard to manage my posts, migrating them around the categories and looking through to see if there are any information I ought not to write.
My blog grew larger by each post and comment submited and I end up changing categories once in a while. January 2006 has seen 22347 unique visitors, 267962 hits and used 2.42 GB of bandwidth. January 2006’s statistics gotten prettier as compared to December 2005’s. But unfortunately my statistics are not accurate since my site is counting each person who hotlink my image only as a unique visitor!
The favorite days to come are Mondays and Fridays. People hate coming to my site on Sundays, I guess they’re out with their family and friends. January caught more spam than any other month too. About 200 I think.
Every month, my blog uses 2.42 GB of bandwidth which is about 12% of my available bandwidth. I gotta start to conserve already. I won’t prevent hotlinking of images at the moment. I plan to post images with a //beconfused logo on the bottom right of all the images I posted in future in hopes of discouraging people from using my bandwidth. I am aware many sites are using my images. The drastic measure would be to ban all external sites from using my images, but I don’t want to spoil the links of others.
Sorry for those annoying recent comments though, the old posts are trying to send pings and they start pinging //beconfused’s own posts.

On a side note, Internet Explorer’s visitors have been decreasing – now to 71%. Firefox users take up 14%. Opera and Apple’s Safari browser takes up 2% of my visitors each.
[EDIT: I wrote that IE's visitors were 'increasing', that was incorrect, they were 'decreasing'.]

by cockroach//è??è?? (Feb 1, 2006 at 9 PM)cockroach//è??è??: … But most are after my images.
Wish they had commented at least before they hotlink my images. I don’t mind them hotlinking as long as I have the bandwidth to spare actually.

by Nafcom (Feb 3, 2006 at 6 AM)Nafcom: You can if you start putting interesting images and people start hotlinking your images, hahaa… Sadly few bothered to even trackback.
by Mr. Dew (Feb 3, 2006 at 11 PM)Mr Dew; But I am boring by nature, so are my posted pics
by Nafcom (Feb 4, 2006 at 3 AM)Nafcom: Well, you aren’t boring actually. I like reading some technology stuff, it’s a good break from the usual oh-look-at-me-with-my-classmates blog. You can try posting more pictures, screenshots. They attract people too.
by Mr. Dew (Feb 4, 2006 at 8 AM)Mr Dew: Thank you!
by Nafcom (Feb 4, 2006 at 9 PM)However I am not like you! Often I miss the motivation to blog at all!…
Mr Dew: something like this?

by Nafcom (Feb 8, 2006 at 3 AM)Nafcom: Those are great! I quite like the Widgets but I still prefer them to be not in the browser. I think it would be nice to see them in Windows itself and you can launch it anywhere. Yahoo! has that already. So it isn’t new I guess. I don’t want to bother downloading though. I have got a feeling that I probably won’t be using it.
by Mr. Dew (Feb 19, 2006 at 4 PM)Mr Dew: Thank you!
I use widgets now and then, they are very compfortable at certain things!
by Nafcom (Feb 19, 2006 at 5 PM)And yes, Opera widgets also work outside of Opera!
They do? I didn’t know. Do I need to have the Opera browser open to view those widgets?
by Mr. Dew (Feb 19, 2006 at 5 PM)Mr Dew: Yes, but you can minimize it and they will display anyway
by Nafcom (Feb 19, 2006 at 5 PM)Nafcom: Okay, but I don’t think I’ll have the browser open all the time. Well, I have 2 widgets installed – Currency Converter and Unit Converter. Both are the most useful widgets imho. I don’t need clocks and calculators. I use the clock at the taskbar and I just don’t calculate things with my computer.
by Mr. Dew (Feb 19, 2006 at 6 PM)Mr Dew: Yes, but I am sure more useful widgets will come!
I have Opera open all the time since I use it for browsing and my emails!
by Nafcom (Feb 19, 2006 at 11 PM)Nafcom: I prefer web mails to mail clients actually. I tend to get a lot of attachments and I don’t want to wait till all is downloaded to view my emails.
