Just when you thought the Hitachi one was geeky enough, you haven’t seen the Visual Studio one that Microsoft aims to attract Korean customers.
Microsoft Visual Studio is a suite of programming tools that helps you program in Visual Basic .NET, C#, C++ .NET, J# and a couple of stuff I can’t recall.

_(Visual Studio Team Systems 2005 Korean rap animation.)_
Check out the lyrics too while you listen. Geeky stuff. Good try though. This is the first Korean rap music that I heard. I think Korean rap sounds pretty good actually.
Watch and listen to Visual Studio Team System 2005.

Oh man, I feel so geeky now. You can download Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions for free now by the way. I’ve tried it and love the improvement they made to the whole IDE (integrated development environment).

Mr Dew: It’s free but only for 1 year!:
“Free for 1 year”
by Nafcom (Nov 19, 2005 at 1 AM)Nafcom: You can download now and keep. It’s yours free forever to keep if you download within a year.
by Mr. Dew (Nov 19, 2005 at 8 AM)@Mr Dew: Not true. It just downloads a about 3 MB setup file only, the rest will be downloaded from the internet while the setup runs…
by Nafcom (Nov 19, 2005 at 9 AM)hahaha…I don’t think I need it. I don’t use Visual Basic .NET, C#, C++ .NET, J#
by cockroach//è??è?? (Nov 19, 2005 at 11 PM)Nafcom: Yes, I know and you can keep it forever.
by Mr. Dew (Nov 27, 2005 at 5 AM)Mr Dew: And what if you need to install it again at a later date?
by Nafcom (Nov 29, 2005 at 6 AM)Nafcom: You can’t do that I think. Because it is a web installer. You can, however, install it within a year and keep it forever.
by Mr. Dew (Nov 29, 2005 at 9 PM)O_O
by aurora_starfire (Nov 30, 2005 at 12 AM)Visual Studio-two words I never want to hear again! Ack!
I hate C++. You write like,five lines of code and somehow you get 10 errors.
@aurora_starfire:
C: I can top this! One wrong sign, 93 errors!
by Nafcom (Nov 30, 2005 at 3 AM)It’s common to get errors. Last time when I tried importing a VB6 project to VB.NET, I got thousands of error. I figured that the importer isn’t that good, lol…
by Mr. Dew (Nov 30, 2005 at 10 AM)Bah, c++ installation causes blue screen in Windows XP 64bit (and yes, I own it, so no crack, etc involved). the setup even downloads and installs he x64 version but it causes bluescreen during installation
Luckily, the uninstaller even detects suspended installations and supports rollback of changes before uninstall and uinstalls the rest then, this way I get no ghosts because of the installation interrupted by the bluescreen.
Still weird that Microsoft’s own 64bit prgs cause bluescreen in own Windows XP64bit! Didn’t really test their stuff properly, huh?
by Nafcom (Dec 1, 2005 at 10 AM)It actually supports that? The installer seems quite intelligent. But you’re right, it’s funny that their own programs cause the bluescreen, hahaa…
by Mr. Dew (Dec 3, 2005 at 10 PM)Mr. Dew: Yes, it does. I will do a blog entry about this now!
by Nafcom (Dec 4, 2005 at 10 AM)Go ahead! It does seem intelligent. We need more of such installers. I think it uses Windows Installer 3.0, I’m not sure though. I’m confused with their products which can be rather similar (i.e. ClickOnce).
by Mr. Dew (Dec 7, 2005 at 1 PM)@Mr Dew: But doesn’t help much if it causes a bluescreen!
by Nafcom (Dec 7, 2005 at 5 PM)“I think Korean rap sounds pretty good actually.”
I guess one has to be Asian to think that! =)
by Nafcom (Dec 7, 2005 at 5 PM)Nafcom: We heard Japanese rap before it sounds good too. Maybe it’s an asian thing, hahaa…
