*Police give stern warning to protester*
The Case Of The Eight White Elephants has finally been weapped up.
The police have issued a stern warning, instead of prosecuting the person who did it. They did not name the culprit.
Some residents, however, said it was a person close to grassroots leaders.
The elephant cutouts had been placed — most likely by a Punggol South resident — outside the station on Aug 28.
Youth and Sports Minister Vivian Balakrishnan passed by on a constituency visit, they were to signal what residents thought of the unopen station. Buangkok MRT has not been opened although the rest of the North-East line was completed in June 2003.

A stern warning? Hey… What happen to sense of humor? Come on, it’s just eight white elephants. They look rather cute with the background-ed Buangkok MRT station anyway.
And also, notice The Straits Times says, “The police have issued a stern warning, instead of prosecuting the person who did it.” Is it just me or does it seem to imply this – The police should be prosecuting the person who did it; but they’re are nice bunch and issued a stern warning.
