I am thinking of starting something called “Army terminology of the week” where I would write about a terminology that we use in army every week to keep my blog more alive a little. It does seem kinda dead when I am away and that makes me sad.

Well, here I go.

Army terminology of the week

Book in – Basically you go back to army camp, that is book in. It is the action that I hate most. When someone tells you that he is booking in, it would mean he is entering the military camp. It’s the saddest day of the week unless you’re realy enthusiatic about army life.

Book out – Ah, this is my favorite. Opposite of ‘book in’, basically this action brings you out of camp. It means you can return back to home for a couple of days to enjoy your personal life a little. It’s one of the most joyous occasions of the week.

Everybody is looking forward to booking out. I don’t have a platoon mate that actually loves booking in. I am sure SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) would love that fellow though.
