I actually went to sing karaoke today. I did not sing much though. It is not unusual to see me not singing. I just don’t sing. I don’t quite dare to sing actually.
It’s kinda like our last gathering before we get in national service. This national service is compulsory. Just when I thought the national service in Singapore is just to:
* Pay taxes
* Be good citizen and don’t litter
* Brag about Singapore in blog
* Get married and manufacture kids
* Speak good English
* Invest locally in the Great Singapore Sale
* Speak more Mandarin
Apparently, there is still serving in the military. It’s our meeting before I get into army where I will serve 2 years.
I realized that I have made a mistake. My friend just told me that I will only serve 2 years of national service and that is inclusive of the physical training phase programme. I sure hope he is right.
I decided to continue to maintain //beconfused for as long as I can. I have some money to spare to maintain this blog. It is somewhat powered by advertisements now. I hope to gain enough money to cover my web hosting fees. Please be kind enough to give my Google Ads a click, thanks so much!
When I am serving national service, there is no way I can blog unless I so luckily got a job that requires an internet access. But even so, it’s unlikely I’ll use it to blog. They are quite strict about this.
The Singapore military gives me the impression that they are tough and discipline and enjoy making unachieveable targets to make you buck up and somehow – miraculously – aspire to reach the impossible. Surpass yourself they say. Well, I’ll just see what is there to be done inside, hopefully they don’t send me to disfuse bombs or be a bridge engineer or be in a compact unit or be a navy fellow or…
Well, you get the idea.

Hey Mr. Dew! I hope I will anyway hear from you now and then, I got used to you =)
(blog, emails, ICQ).
is it really 2 years without breaks? wow so then!
Well, really my best wishes!
by Nafcom (Jun 4, 2005 at 7 AM)Nafcom: I have breaks, on Saturday and Sundays! But a huge chunk of my times (Mondays to Fridays) would be spent in the military base. I may be able to leave the camp in the evening each day, but it really depends on what post I am assigned to.
by Mr. Dew (Jun 4, 2005 at 8 AM)@Mr. Dew: Ok, that is nice
So we won’t get a rid of you?

by viv (Jun 5, 2005 at 9 PM)Nafcom: I guess not.
viv: Ahhh, I see that guy didn’t quite like NS, I haven’t reach that stage though. I do draw some art work to make fun of things in Singapore though, hahaa
