In Singapore, some Chinese calls the caucasians ‘ang moh’ which meant ‘red hair’. It is not called as a racist joke. Many do not have that intention in mind. ‘Ang moh’ is not Mandarin too, it’s Hokkien which is a dialect. I think it may be started of as a racist joke decades ago, but today, it is used as just a normal language term with no racist implications. You can assume it’s part of Singlish.
