My Industrial Training Program is starting coming Monday. There is a certain amount of unexplained excitement. I thought what is it that made me excited in this internship program last night and I really can’t pinpoint out a reason.

It is likely that I’d be writing some sort of program at my workplace. And it is also likely that I would be coding in FORTRAN and Matlab. I know neither of the languages (only know Visual Basic .NET) so I require lots of guidance from my supervisor.

Yesterday, I took a ride to my workplace with my girlfriend to test out how long I would take. My clock timed my journey to be slightly more than an hour when taking the bus. I shouldn’t take the bus I guess.

Reaching the workplace, we went into the food court (Soulfree) to test out their food. I mean I got to test out how long I would take to eat the food so as not to be late when I return from lunch break, right? Right?

Right. So we tried the chicken rice stall.

GF (Girlfriend): Do you have chicken rice at the moment?
SO (Stall-owner): No.
GF: What time would you start selling chicken rice?
SO: Huh?
GF: What time would you start selling chicken rice?
So: We don’t have chicken rice now.
Me (speaking loudly): What time would you start selling chicken rice?
SO: We have macaroni.
Me: I mean what time would you start selling chicken rice?
SO: You can try the breakfast stall there.

So till the very end, we both have absolutely no idea when the chicken rice would start selling. We were interested to try that you see. The stall owner is not half as interested to reveal when she’d start selling. It does bring good laughter to my girlfriend and I though.
