After living in planet Earth for 19 years, I finally ready myself (with all sorts of help of course) to my industrial training program. And what the hell is that? It’s just a much fanciful name for ‘internship’.
I am excited, but I don’t know what exactly am I excited about. It’s probably just the excitement over the fact that, you know, school’s ending and blah blah.
School semester break is here. I am now sitting in front of my 1.8 Gigahertz Pentium 4 PC playing games and coding some stuff. Oh, I started to read too. The other day, Pecilius called me and asked me what PERL book would be good. That kinda shocked me. I mean, she’s actually going to read up on PERL?!
Well, not so surprising actually, I brought back PERL books too, lol.
But all I did is to flip through and get used to the syntax a little and pray hard that my internship would not require me to code in PERL.
Pecilius asked me what type of PERL books are good and the latest version of PERL. Basically, it’s those questions that I can’t answer. While I did brought back this 1-inch book, I fail to read through anything else other than the source code which I don’t quite remember now.
I guess I wasn’t concentrating reading.
[I better read up a little on PERL, my attachment may require such a knowledge. Right now, I don't even know what the hell it stands for!]

by Mr. Dew (Nov 25, 2004 at 11 AM)companies still use perl? odd, how come i cannot find many jobs looking for perl programmers?
by just-passing-thru (Nov 25, 2004 at 6 PM)just-passing-thru: biotechnology companies tend to use perl, i’m not sure if the one i’m attached to is going to be using it but my laison officer tells me chances are high that it is
