It’s midnight now, my school has unofficially ended. What’s left is the examinations. That made me happy enough though.
These few weeks, I have been working hard. At least I think that I have been working hard. I rest little and my body is set to working mode.
There are 3 important tasks basically:
* Final year project
* Web application assignment
* Data mining and data warehousing case study
For final year project, our group has a weak student. He’s a good friend of mine actually, but he doesn’t listens in class. It gets rather troublesome when the final year project steps in. Sometimes I think it’s not that he doesn’t want to do the project, it’s just that he doesn’t know how to do the project.
It’s our perfectionism that eventually caused us the problem I think. Everyone has their own idea of how the project is going to be. While having these ideas are good, we need to listen out on other people’s ideas.
We just don’t listen. We were clouded with our own ideas of the project. It makes us redundant to accept other’s suggestions. I wished I had gotten him more involved in the project.
The report turned out fine, but the presentation isn’t good. In fact, our supervisor asked me what’s wrong with our presentation today. I told him that we didn’t practice enough. The presentation made me sad. I was hoping that this presentation would be a good one and we’ll all get the good results for this project.
I can only hope for the best. He will be able to pass this project. The problem lies in the log book we have. The log book has my name plastered all over and my girlfriend’s name occurred half the amount of mine and his name occurs only a fifth of my amount. This may eventually lead to the supervisor assuming that I did twice as much as my girlfriend and five times as much as him.
However, this is not the case. The problem with the log book is that no one records it. I keep a personal log of what I did and made no inclusion of the others. At the very end when a log book is required to be compiled, I had it a lot easier.
