It’s really noisy outside again. Oh, I should have gotten used to these sounds after all my neighbor’s hobby is to drill holes and drill more holes on walls. Nowadays, I have this impression that he is drilling the wall till they have patterns all around like those of the sound-proof walls.
And today, the noise pollution didn’t come from my neighbor. It’s far louder and much more annoying. And no, it’s not my alarm clock [annoyingly//effective] this time. It’s the renovations that are ongoing in my estate.
You see, those Bangladeshi workers are trying to construct sheltered walk ways for us residents. Yeah, that’s very kind of them. Nice work, I see the shape of these sheltered walk ways coming up nicely too. They’re also giving our estate a new look, that is, new coat of paint.
Frankly speaking, I am quite excited about that. I got really bored of my flat’s boring white-orange-green combination. And they’re modifying my flat’s lifts to make them stop on every floor. I do have to say it’s quite useless to me since I live on the third floor and much prefer climbing up the lift than the chance of getting trapped there for an hour and a half.
I just don’t like the noise part, and I’m sure no one likes it too.
On a side note, I’m thinking of hosting other people’s blogs. What do you think of the idea? WordPress is the blogging tool I am using, it’s really good in my opinion. I don’t mind hosting singapore blogs too.
That’s very nice of you. But you must understand what you’re doing when you decide to help others host their blogs.
At some point in time when you decide not to continue your hosting, when become of them?
I used to use wordpress for a short period of time, it was amazing. However, I kinda screw up my files and had everything deleted.
So i now revert back to using blogger. At least I was sure Blogger will ensure my archives’ safety
by zhi yang (Sep 22, 2004 at 8 PM)i did thought of that, i think i’m hosting as long as my cash can bring me, but still if i were to leave, i’ll inform those who i host and hand them all the SQL scripts to add their blogs back in WordPress.
by Mr. Dew (Sep 22, 2004 at 9 PM)and speaking of this everything-deleted scenario, it’s time to back up my SQL databases, lol.
you should do that often too, it is helpful just in case of a technical glitch or something that wipes away data
blogger is really good now though
the block of flats I’m staying in was repainted a few years ago…and they finished the lift upgrading works this year…it now takes me more than half less time to get to the ground floor.
by Serene (Sep 22, 2004 at 11 PM)orange, white and green combination?
by aurora_starfire (Sep 22, 2004 at 11 PM)that reminds me of having that sherbet that’s three different colors-in this case it would be orange, lime and pineapple. If I stayed in your room I would be hungry all the time…actually,I’m hungry now…:?:
by the way-thanks for commenting on my journal!
by aurora_starfire (Sep 22, 2004 at 11 PM)I had no idea people read it…
just in case you haven’t read my reply, I don’t think I am taking up the offer, thanks for that though.
I prefer being passive and using Blogger that does everything for me.
by YingRu (Sep 23, 2004 at 12 AM)being a host is hard…kinda time-consuming too.
by vanessa (Sep 23, 2004 at 1 AM)its gd u’ve learnt to shut out the noise.my dad keeps more than 14 birds in the house, and it hardly affects me.MOST of the time that is… :neutral:lol
