ridding//embarrassment

Uncategorized

A tragedy occurred today. Initially, I wanted to blog about how I spend SG$100 today but I no longer have the mood to. My girlfriend was displeased with something I said and I am displeased with her not telling me what’s wrong. But, it’s a even more worse tragedy!
My younger brother stumbled on my blog!
Shit. Immediately, I went to my blog and scanned through my front page to see the content that he might have read. It turns that that there’s nothing much there.
But still, it’s a tragedy. He came to me, smiling happily, questioning if I had a blog. I answered confidently that I do claiming lots of people have it anyway. He then revealed that he read my post, singapore//urine, and laughed really hard.
He seemed to have enjoyed himself too. Double tragedy!
Blog people, comment – do your family members know of your blog’s existence? If they do, do they check out what crap you wrote last week? Have you thought that your blog’s content may be used against you?

  2. Hmmm, I guess you just have to give her time to finish being angry, and she will naturally tell you what’s wrong. And well, it might be a good idea to not be pissed with her because she seems to be doing what all girls do when pissed. :P Just trying to help you out there. Sorry if I was being a smart-aleck.

  3. nothing really wrong about people knowing u’ve got a blog.i keep telling my parents i’ve got a blog, and they always go “what’s a blog?”.everytime.without fail.and since no one else uses the comp except me,my entries never get read by my family members…did your brother by any chance remember your blog address?:???:

  4. fortunately, my blog’s still a ’secret’ :)

It’s why I blog under an alias, but it’s not thaaat big a deal I hope. Give it a week, don’t treat it like a big thing – and he’ll prob forget about it.

    But ya, that does suck

  5. tak: no, we didn’t quarrel, it’s just that i didn’t talk much after that. we’re okay already :)
YingRu: oh, i know what’s wrong already, it’s okay now, hahaa.
vanessa: i hope my brother doesn’t remember my blog address, i am not sure though.. he saw a couple of post. i don’t want to let him know initially because i might have said something bad
pketh: i wish i has blogged under an alias too sometimes. but i gotten used to people i know reading already, i don’t have much offending content anyway..

  6. My family memebers know that i keep a blog, but i don’t think they bother to read:smile: but I can’t write anything that might offend them, just in case.

  7. Serene: I heard of cases of families being broken up, employee being fired and others just because of a blog. That’s quite serious in my opinion.

  8. My sis got into huge trouble with her teacher because she said “she sucks” on her blog. So yeah, I try not to reveal my name in my blog anymore. My parents don’t like me to blog though, they think I’m spewing out obscene words online. I don’t know.. *shrug*

  9. Only my cousin and brother really know I have a blog. I showed it to my dad but he didn’t care or really know what I was talking about.

I try to be careful and not write stuff that’s too personal or something that somebody will bring up that embarrasses me. It’s hard not to write stuff that you wouldn’t talk about in person though.

  10. YingRu: how did the teacher know the blog in the first place? well, blogs are personal opinions, lol. i don’t like some teachers too

Jessica: i try not to write too personal stuff, i fear it being used against me in future

  11. Oh Dew, talk to that %$#%$#% teacher. She’s an Indian and has a unique name which my sis went to spell out. So she came to her blog by searching for her name on yahoo. I tried to make her see it’s a personal opinion but she says she wants to sue my sister. %^$%^$%$#.

by YingRu (Jul 21, 2004 at 12 AM)
  12. Okay, that is some serious trouble that your sister got into. If your sister is not writing something false, your sister’s not lying, so it is okay I believe.

  13. It’s over. :) I just had to rant because that teacher was just… $%$%&^. You get me. Haha.

  14. i agree, the teacher can be unhappy but i don’t think threatening a student a lawsuit makes a good teacher…
